Keep Your Love Locked Down

Hey guys, I've been gone for a while.....so much has happened. I was sick, it was a disaster, but never to worry, I'm back. Unfortunately, it's such a horrible day in New York City, it's raining, it's cold. This is definitely cuddle weather ;) So, if you're in New York or it's raining in your City and you're reading this, take my advice and make sure you cuddle with your boo, tonight.

I started reading this book called, "The Five Love Languages," by Gary Chapman. He writes about couples, understanding each others love languages. The Five Love Languages are: Words of Affirmation, Quality Time, Receiving Gifts, Acts of Service, and Physical Touch. I know it sounds like one of those bullshit self-help books, but it actually makes sense. In the book, he writes, "A English speaking person, can not understand a Chinese speaking person, " the two do not speak different languages. He compares that statement with, individuals in relationships. If you love by spending, Quality Time and your partner loves by, Words of Affirmation, it is imperative, too understand how to love each other; spend time and give verbal appreciation. I am certain, there are other factors that play into achieving, "The Five Love Languages ," but I just started reading. I will definitely keep you guys posted, I look forward to the end, I'm hoping to learn something.

In the meantime, I think you should check it out on your own, as well. According to the reviews, it's a good read. The Author, Gary Chapman is a marriage counselor, he and his wife have been married for 35years; I'm certain that he knows what he's talking about. This is a book for every couple, whether you have your "love lock down," or it's on the rocks, you can certainly learn from it.
